Tunisia Mission

To assist US companies who wish to establish a new market presence in Tunisia through direct business networking with other companies and government officials. This candid opportunity will allow for exploring ‘selling of products’ to the Tunisian market, the creation of partnerships and investments within Tunisia, procurement of capital from Tunisia and setting up of manufacturing operations in Tunisia.

In order to maximize the opportunities for mutually beneficial outcomes for Tunisian and American business resulting from this mission, we wish to ask if you would be willing to draw upon your experience and broad network of contacts to provide us with a few high level contacts with the Tunisian government that can help us facilitate such a mission and assist with arranging the kind of high-level meetings that will really appeal to Americans interested in doing business with Tunisia.

ANALYSIS

Mature economic relations exist between Tunisia and the US with scores of companies engaged in several industry segments such as Agriculture, Oil and Gas, and Tourism, amongst others. However, ample opportunities exist to further strengthen these relationships and build new ones in less attended segments such as Manufacturing, Infrastructure Development, Renewable Energy. Meaningful value can be provided in facilitating direct business-to-business interaction in the above mentioned areas. The following actions are recommended:
• Proactively seek out individual companies with one or more of above needs as opposed to broader US-based industry sector’s needs as a whole.
• Communicate US-company’s needs to Tunisian side. Based on this information, specific companies, organizations, or individuals will be lined up in Tunisia.
• Secure government officials to speak on behalf of Tunisian businesses and Tunisia’s economic, development, and financial goals. This should include information on various incentives and benefits to US companies planning on doing business in Tunisia.
