founderSada Cumber’s success as a diplomat, entrepreneur and philanthropist has resulted from a lifelong belief that the world can embrace pluralism and inclusiveness through strong civil society and entrepreneurship. Drawing upon this vision, he works with diverse partners, leveraging different capacities, strengths and resources to achieve success.

In 2008, the White House appointed Cumber the first US Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), a fifty-seven nation inter-governmental organization. Cumber enjoyed noteworthy success in his mandate to advance US policy while improving communication and relations between the US and the world’s 1.6 billion Muslims. Cumber also facilitated global interfaith dialogue with leaders like Pope Benedict XVI and King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. During his tenure as Special Envoy, Cumber traveled extensively throughout Muslim countries in the Middle East, South, Central and East Asia and Africa while building relationships with governmental, business, academic and civil society leaders.

As a well-known American entrepreneur, Cumber has founded multiple technological companies as well as an international strategic advisory company and an investment advisory/wealth management firm. Cumber’s business focus is in senior management, global network strategy, strategic marketing, business planning and institution building. He has been written about and quoted by many domestic and international publications such as Forbes Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Khaleej Times, Saudi Gazette and the Brunei Times. Several of his companies have been acquired by entities such as Eastman Kodak and Cisco Systems. He has served on the Texas Economic Development Board ($300 million fund), the Texas Emerging Technology Fund ($200 million fund) as well as the Texas Business Council and Texas Task Force on Higher Education.

Cumber continues to speak around the world on topics as diverse as US policy, the relationship between Islam and the West, the global economy, good business practices, technology and venture capital. As a philanthropist, he sits on numerous boards and works closely with organizations and foundations that promote health, development and education in the US and around the world.

Sada Cumber was born in Karachi, Pakistan. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in commerce and a Master’s Degree in history, both from the University of Karachi. He came to the United States in 1978 and has been an American citizen since 1986. Cumber and his wife, Mumtaz, currently residence in Austin, Texas, USA. They have two children, Rabia and Ali.
