Ambassador Sada Cumber
Founder and Chairman
Sada Cumber served as the first US Special Envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). During his tenure, Cumber built relationships with the leadership of the 57 member-nations of the OIC. As Special Envoy, Cumber also worked with the highest levels of academic and media leadership in these countries. He has emerged as influential voice in relations between Muslim-majority nations and the West. Following his retirement from diplomatic service, Cumber identified a need for an entity to facilitate business, educational initiatives and other productive interaction between the US and Muslim-majority nations. The Alhambra-US Chamber of Commerce was created to fulfill this role. Cumber is a successful entrepreneur, written about and quoted by many publications, including Forbes Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Khaleej Times, Saudi Gazette and Brunei Times. He has founded more than a dozen companies, several of which have been acquired by international corporations such as Cisco Systems, Eastman Kodak, and Proctor & Gamble. Read more
Geoffrey S. Connor

As former Texas Secretary of State, Connor was responsible for international protocol and international business promotion for America’s largest exporting state. During his tenure as Secretary of State, Connor met with more than a hundred international delegations, including multiple heads of state, and led more than a dozen international trade missions. His work in both public and private sectors has given him an extensive network of contacts both abroad and within the United States, especially Washington DC. Anjum Malik

Malik is a businesswoman, educational consultant, and expert on international education. She is co-owner of House of Tutors Learning Centers and its subsidiary, The Intensive American English Institute, a fully accredited and internationally-recognized business serving the academic, cultural and language-instruction needs of students from all over the world. House of Tutors has partnered with institutions in locations as diverse as Turkey and Korea as well as with colleges and universities across the US. In addition to her educational expertise, she is an international businesswoman with extensive ties in the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. She was crucial in facilitating a Memorandum on Trade and Tourism between the State of Texas and Bulgaria. Jonathan Black
Director of Research and Communications
Black has built a career on more than a decade of expertise in cross-cultural communication, marketing and speechwriting, with a special focus on communication between the Western and Muslim worlds. His client list includes members of congress and ambassadors. He has established a reputation for backing his work with strong original research in support of his clients’ message and brand. Black conducted postgraduate studies at the American University in Cairo. After his studies, he was employed at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Cairo as special assistant to the Ambassador.
